About
Laura Hinton
A little bit of information about me and my background. My interest in animals and their behaviour started at a young age and as soon as I could I volunteered at veterinary practices, farms and stables to absorb myself in all things relating to animal care and welfare.
In the summers of my A levels and first year at university I spent time with ranchers in Texas as a cowgirl rounding up cattle for vet checking and branding.
I graduated with a degree in Zoology and Physiology which I followed up with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling at Southampton University. During this time I also shadowed dog trainers in the Gloucestershire area and behavourists working in the industry to extend my knowledge further.
Since gaining these qualifications, I carried out behavioural consultations for dogs and cats in Cardiff and Bristol. I took a break from it all to have a family but have now re-started Puzzled Pets with a focus on behaviourism and training. My passion is working with adolescent dogs particularly but I also enjoy the challenge that comes with all behaviour consultations.
